Practical examples for sales

Why is this document needed?

This document translates product talking points into live examples. It's for people who don't know casino industry and don’t yet understand why the words “bonus bet”, “progressive jackpot”, “Pit”, “boxes” or “risk game” are generally important.

The main task: to give the sales team not only definitions, but also everyday scenes from the casino. After such Examples make it easier to explain Gen3 and the bonus-jackpot mechanics.

Example 1. What is a bonus bet

Let's introduce the Baccarat gaming table.

The player makes the main bet on the outcome of the game: Banker, Player or Tie. This is a normal game. Casino and the player already knows the rules.

Next to the main bet, the dealer offers an additional bonus bet:

"If a rare event or matching combination occurs in this hand, you can receive a bonus or a chance to win the jackpot."

The player does not stop playing Baccarat. It just adds another feature on top of the usual one. games.

For the player it looks like this:

  • the main bet is responsible for the normal game;
  • the bonus bet gives a chance for an additional event;
  • winnings from the main game are usually limited by the rules of this game, and the bonus bet gives a chance to a payout that is significantly larger than the usual winnings;
  • a large jackpot on the screen shows that you can win much more than the usual payout at the table;
  • frequent small bonuses maintain interest between rare major events.

For a casino the meaning is different:

  • an additional turn appears in the same round;
  • the table becomes more visible;
  • the player has something to discuss and wait for;
  • the jackpot can be shown on screens as a promotional amount.

Example 2. Why a small fixed bet is weak for expensive tables

In some bonus systems, the bet is fixed: one is set for a specific table or product the amount is the same for all players. It's not necessarily $1, but small ones are common. fixed bonus bets at approximately the same level.

Why exactly this example: a small bet of about 1 dollar is a low entry threshold. Its easy offer to the mass player, it does not look expensive, and it is easier for the dealer to explain a single rule for the entire table. There is a mass table where players bet 10-20 dollars. For them a small fixed bonus the bet may look normal: it's a small extra chance.

Now imagine a VIP table where the player bets $5,000 or $20,000 per round. For him the same small bonus bet is psychologically almost non-existent. It doesn't evoke emotion, it doesn't fits the scale of the game and doesn't feel like a serious possibility.

Fixed bet problems:

  • VIP player is not interested;
  • the jackpot grows slowly;
  • a large amount does not appear on the screen so quickly;
  • the product remains only for the mass segment;
  • the casino does not use the main source of income - large players.

Our approach is stronger:

The casino can set a range of bonus bets for a specific area of the hall. Mass player bets less, the VIP bets more, and the share of the jackpot winnings may depend on the size of the bet.

Example of an explanation to a client:

If a VIP guest plays at high limits, they are not interested in a small fixed bonus bet. We can adjust the bonus mechanics to match the level your high-limit hall.

Example 3. Why multicurrency is important for Asia

Let's imagine a casino where some players play in dollars, some in local currency, and for some VIP guests can use their usual currency settings.

If the bonus system can only work in one currency, the casino either has to limit product, or explain artificial rules to players. This creates unnecessary friction.

Gen3 can be configured for different betting currencies. This is an important argument for a sales manager:

We do not force casinos to rearrange their currency practices to accommodate the bonus system. If the hall is real accepts bets in multiple currencies, the product can be customized to accommodate this practice.

Example 4. Why a separate bet on the Wheel of Fortune confused the player in earlier versions

Wheel of Fortune is an on-screen bonus mechanic with a rotating sector win indicator. To the player The picture itself is clear: the Wheel of Fortune rotates, stops, and shows the result. The problem begins if they make another separate bet for this. This is primarily an example of the evolution of our system from Gen1/Gen2 to Gen3. At the Wheel of Fortune market or spin mechanics are often part of a single progressive bonus bet and not necessarily a separate second bet. Therefore, for sales it is important to formulate carefully: we do not say that everything competitors overload the player with a separate Wheel of Fortune; we say that Gen3 removes the extra entity from our previous model and makes player choice easier.

Old model Gen1/Gen2:

The player sees the main game, bonus bet, jackpot and a separate bet on the Wheel of Fortune.

He asks:

  • "Is this a separate game?"
  • “How is it different from a bonus bet?”
  • “If I bet a bonus, am I already participating in the Wheel of Fortune?”
  • “Why do I need to bet again?”
  • “When does the Wheel of Fortune even start?”

Even if the dealer knows how to explain, there is unnecessary conversation at the table. This slows down the game and reduces conversion to bid.

Gen3 makes it easier:

The player receives a winning combination. The system offers:

"You've already won. You can take your winnings or risk them for the multiplier."

Now the question is clear without long instructions. The player does not risk an abstract individual bet, but already visible gain. Selling formula:

We have removed the separate confusing bet and made the Wheel of Fortune part of the risk game after a win. It’s easier for the player to understand, and the emotion is stronger.

Example 5. What a risk game looks like at the table

Situation:

The player made a bonus bet of $100. The hand came up with a suitable combination. According to the rules system, it gives you a win of 500 dollars and the right to a risk game.

The dealer shows the player:

"You can take the $500 or risk the winnings."

The following are possible outcomes:

  • the player refuses and takes 500 dollars;
  • the player agrees, a 2x multiplier appears, and the total becomes $1,000;
  • the player agrees, 3x is rolled, and the total becomes $1,500;
  • the player agrees, 0x appears, and the player loses this risked win.

Why it works emotionally:

  • the player has already received a reason to rejoice;
  • risk appears at the peak of emotion;
  • the solution is simple;
  • other players at the table are watching the event;
  • the on-screen event becomes part of the real table game, and not a separate, incomprehensible bet.

Example 6. Why calculating the bet after the end of the round is important

At the gaming table, the player usually bets with chips. Sometimes, especially in some Asian casinos, cash or mixed practices may be used. For the player it's still physical the value is on the table: the player sees where the bet lies.

In a regular game, the bet remains on the cloth until the result. The dealer first conducts the round, opens cards, announces the result, and only then takes the losing bets or pays out the winning ones.

In many bonus systems, the bonus bet is taken at the beginning of the round. The player just put chips or money into the bonus area, and the dealer has already removed them towards the system.

Why do they do this: such systems often have a rule that the bonus bet must be collected immediately and entered into accounting. Only after this the player is considered a participant in the bonus round. From the point of view internal control is a clear mechanic: first collect all bonus bets, then count bonus game.

The player might think of it like this:

"I haven't played yet, but my money is already gone."

Even if the rules are fair, the feeling is unpleasant. Especially if the player has made several bets and sees that part of the money was taken before the result.

Example for a sales manager: The player bet $1,000 on the base game and $100 in the bonus. The main bet remains lie on the table until the result. And the dealer immediately removed the $100 bonus. The player sees the contrast: the main bet is still “playing”, but the bonus one seems to have already been lost.

In Gen3 the logic is softer:

  • the bet is fixed;
  • the round passes;
  • the dealer records the result;
  • the system believes what happened;
  • after the end of the session, the system calculates payments, replenishment of the jackpot fund and replenishment minimum jackpot reserve fund.

Sales explanation:

The player does not get the feeling that the bet has been lost before the game starts. Accounting remains for the casino correct, but the player’s perception becomes calmer.

Example 7. Dealer error in the old system

Situation:

The player on box 3 placed a bonus bet of $100. The dealer accidentally entered a bet on box 4.

In a rigid system the problem begins:

  • the dealer cannot fix it himself;
  • the player notices an error;
  • you need to call the supervisor;
  • the supervisor calls the pit boss if the operation has already been recorded;
  • the table is waiting;
  • other players get annoyed;
  • the pace of the game drops;
  • the casino loses time and trust.

In Gen3 the script should be simpler:

  • the dealer chooses the action of transferring or correcting the bet;
  • the system shows what is changing;
  • if this is a regular fix, the dealer closes it himself;
  • if confirmation is needed, a responsible role is suitable;
  • bug fixed without a long pause in the game at the table.

Selling formula:

We do not promise that there will be no errors. We make sure that a common mistake does not turn into stopping the game at the table.

Example 8. Why Tiger vs Dragon is important

To someone outside the industry, Tiger vs Dragon may look like just another title on the list games. For the Asian market, this is a separate scenario at the gaming table:

  • the rules are simple;
  • rounds are short;
  • players quickly understand the result;
  • the game is well suited for gaming tables;
  • the table can produce a high tempo.

The problem is that many bonus systems historically cover Blackjack, Poker games well or Baccarat. But in public materials of large jackpot systems for physical gaming tables there are no you can see a full-fledged bonus model for Tiger vs Dragon. There are only two cards involved in the game itself: one for the Tiger side, the other for the Dragon side. It's almost impossible to come up with two cards quite an interesting system of bonus combinations. Gen3 solves this through a virtual third card. The main game does not change, but for the bonus Mechanics system adds a third card. After this, you can build understandable events: one eight, two eights, three eights, suit matching, rare jackpot conditions and a risk game.

Our argument:

Large jackpot systems for physical gaming tables are not visible in public materials a full bonus model for Tiger vs Dragon. Gen3 has it: we solve the problem of two cards through a virtual third card and prepare payments, jackpot conditions and a risk game under specific game.

Example for a sales manager:

If a client says the casino has a strong Asian zone, don't just list Baccarat and Niu Niu. It is necessary to say separately: “We have a separate bonus model for Tiger vs Dragon. In this the game only has two real cards, so we add a virtual third card and get the basis for clear payouts and jackpot events."

Final thought

Gen3 needs to be explained not as a set of individual features, but as a way to make existing gaming tables are more active and profitable.

What the system gives to the casino:

  • more bonus bets on already operating tables;
  • more interest among players due to additional events, risk games and a chance for a large jackpot;
  • stronger advertising figure in the hall: the jackpot can be shown on screens and used as constant visual cue for players;
  • visual presentation for a specific casino: screen design, jackpot animation style, the design of bonus events and the overall picture can be made exclusively for the casino hall and brand;
  • the ability to involve not only mass players, but also VIPs due to a flexible range of bonuses rates;
  • simple mechanics for the player: bonus bet, clear events, risk game after winning;
  • quieter work for the dealer: fewer unnecessary actions and clear error corrections;
  • flexibility for different games and areas of the hall, including Baccarat, Niu Niu, Tiger vs Dragon and games Poker families;
  • multi-currency for markets where real bets can be accepted in different currencies;
  • managed economy: the casino sees bets, payouts, replenishment of the jackpot fund and reserve minimum jackpot fund.

Short:

This is not just a jackpot screen. This is a system that adds interest to players, the casino - additional turnover, and the audience - a large advertising figure and a beautiful picture that can be design for a specific hall.
